Here you’ll find transcripts of the Letter & Order books for the 78th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. It has been a long process getting all of these documents transcribed. Book A was transcribed in 2013 by Eric Burke, then an undergraduate student at Ohio University. The other books were transcribed by a history graduate student at Ohio University, Brogan Ruetzel, and finally finished in 2025.
