Comments: Henry Hampshire lived in Granville, He was a private in Company J, 78th Regiment of the OVI. He died at Shiloh of Disease near Pittsburg Landing and Monterey i.e., (Mitchie? today)on 22 May 1862. I figure He was involved in the buriel of many men on the battle field. They show no record of him being buried at Shiloh. Looking for where He may have been buried. He has a brother in law buried at Shiloh named Eli Butler from Granville also. Maybe someone might want to update the company J section with this name. The information comes from National Archieves in Washington.

Comments: I am the Gr. Gr. Grandaughter of Loren Bickford. In your records the name is spelled Lorain Bigford. The only documentation I have is were he signed up for his pension. Loren Bickford was born in 1831 and and died in 1926. He is resting in the Cumberland Cemetery in Cumberland, Ohio. Loren and his wife had 7 children. I am still looking for info on Loren.
